Made up of a number of different areas along the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, this state park supports a range of activities throughout the grounds. Trails for mountain biking, hiking and cross-country skiing wind throughout, offering scenic views and varying in difficulty. Beaches line the edge of the lake, giving opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming and sunbathing, as well as a number of camping grounds.

Sand Harbor is well known for its sandy beaches, swimming, boating and nature trails. Offering scenic views of the area, visitors can also enjoy scuba diving and picnicking at this park as well. Lifeguards are on duty here from late-May through early-September.
